MICRONEEDLING

Medical skin needling, also called collagen induction therapy, is a painless procedure that involves puncturing the skin with tiny needles (microneedling) to induce collagen production. Microneedling creates controlled, non-thermal micro-injury underneath the skin’s surface, which induces the body to create new blood vessels, elastin & collagen. The result? Smooth, plump, glowing skin.

Frequently Asked Questions About MICRONEEDLING

Does microneedling hurt?

You will feel very little in most cases. A light stinging sensation is usually the only sensation, as we use numbing cream for this treatment to ensure your comfort.

Will there be down time?

Patients may except minor swelling, bruising and redness for 3-4 days after their treatment. Patients may also experience some dryness and flaking of the skin as they are healing. Often side-effects are mild and resolve quickly, however it is always best to plan your treatments around vacations and special events by at least 2 weeks.

How many sessions will I need?

For optimal results we recommend between 3-6 treatments spaced 6-8 weeks apart. You will be able to discuss your specific requirements during your consultation with the doctor.

Where on my body can microneedling be used?

Microneedling can be used almost anywhere on the body that you experience unwanted scarring, acne or stretch marks. It can treat the skin around your neck, face, decollete, abdomen, arms and legs.
