We try our very best to avoid this, but swelling and bruising may happen with some of our services. The degree depends on your skin type, area treated and type of treatment. Typically swelling and bruising will resolve within 7-10 days.
There are a few things! Unless medically necessary, you can avoid blood thinning medications such as aspirin & ibuprofen and fish oil supplements the week before your appointment. Alcohol and caffeine are also blood thinners, you can refrain from consuming these for three days prior to your treatment. You can use natural bruising and swelling aids like arnica, on the day of your procedure and for several days afterwards.
The amount of product or sessions needed varies from patient to patient depending on the area to be treated, your facial anatomy, muscle strength etc. You will be able to discuss this with the doctor during your consultation.
This varies from patient to patient depending on the area to be treated, your facial anatomy, muscle strength, and the type of treatment you receive. Often results are cumulative with continued treatment. You will be able to discuss this with your doctor during your consultation. Generally, neuromodulators last between 3-6 months while dermal fillers last from 6-12 months.
There are some treatments that can be performed, such as the Gua Sha Glow Facial and Microneedling without numbing cream, however we strongly recommend consulting with your OBGYN first.
Out of respect for our doctor’s time please note that cancellations require 24 hours notice. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice will be subject to a rescheduling fee of $100. Please call our office as soon as possible if you need to change or cancel your appointment.
Some of our services may be covered by your extended benefit plan. We suggest contacting your insurance provider to determine what types of services/treatments are covered under your plan, and our front desk would be happy to answer any specific questions you have. Please note we do not offer direct billing for our cosmetic dermatology services with the exception of our Skin Health Consultation and Gua Sha Glow Facial.
Of course! All of our rooms have an extra seat. We can’t however, assess or treat anyone else during your visit (you know they’ll want to jump on board once they see how good you look!) Curious friends should book their own appointments or a 30-minute cosmetic dermatology consultation.
