REGISTERED MASSAGE THERAPY

Registered Massage Therapists (RMTs) are healthcare professionals with training in the assessment and treatment of physical concerns through therapeutic massage. The techniques they use include but are not limited to Swedish massage, myofascial release, joint mobilization, trigger point release, deep tissue, neuromuscular therapy and rehabilitative exercise.

RMTs can help reduce acute pain, manage chronic pain, increase general well-being, decrease anxiety and stress, improves sleep and even help reduce physical swelling seen with injury, pregnancy, and inflammation. Massage therapists can also effectively facilitate the healing of nerve related problems such as sciatica, thoracic outlet and carpal tunnel syndrome.

Headaches are also a common reason to see a massage therapist. Whether it’s chronic migraines, debilitating cluster headaches, or tension headaches from too much computer work, an RMT can help you determine the root cause rather than just managing the symptoms.

Pain, wherever it is, can limit your day to day activities. Massage therapists can work with you and provide the tools to manage your pain experiences in your everyday life.

No matter the symptoms you are experiencing your RMT will come up with a specific plan to help you reach your pain free movement goals. We’ve got your back, literally!
