Dr. Caroline Coombs is a naturopathic doctor and health educator who has a special interest in chronic and inflammatory conditions. She is skilled in treating mood disorders including depression and anxiety, IBS, auto-immune disease and chronic pain. She also supports women with mood changes through pregnancy, post-partum and menopause. Dr. Coombs graduated with an honours degree in Biology from the University of New Brunswick. She then received her naturopathic medical degree from the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine in British Columbia. She holds additional certifications in IV therapy and acupuncture and is authorized to prescribe pharmaceutical medications.
Dr. Coombs empowers patients with the tools to be active partners in their own healing journey. She makes health information clear and accessible and knows patients achieve the best outcomes when they feel welcomed, heard and safe to ask questions about their health and treatment options. Dr. Coombs has a wealth of experience collaborating with other health care professionals and has helped create integrative group programs for large medical clinics such as CHANGEpain and the Mood Disorders Association of British Columbia. These programs offer nutrition and lifestyle interventions as treatment for depression and chronic pain.
A firm believer in the healing power of nature, Dr. Coombs loves camping and exploring new hiking trails near and far with her husband and their young daughter.
