Medical Doctor

Caitlin Blewett, MD, MPH, is a family medicine resident in UBC Family Medicine. Dr Blewett is passionate about connecting with people and building strong relationships with her patients to support integrated approaches to health. She deeply believes in the therapeutic benefits of nature and time spent outdoors. Though she embraces a generalist practice, Dr Blewett is especially interested in holistic approaches to healthy aging, and reproductive and sexual health. Outside of the clinic, she maintains an interest in research and health policy planning with a focus on rural health services.

Dr Blewett graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Family Studies, an integrative program in sociology and psychology centred on the dynamics of family and kin units, from the University of British Columbia (UBC) in 2007. She went on complete a Masters in Public Health at UBC in 2011. She spent the following seven years in Haida Gwaii, working in public health and community engagement and spending every spare waking (and sleeping) minute outdoors. She completed medical school through the Northern Medical Program at UBC in 2022. She is currently training as a family doctor on Vancouver Island.
